Why Apex Home Point
Clear it out, then clean it: one crew
We’re the Sacramento junk removal company that also cleans. Landlords, realtors and families clearing a home can book the haul-out and a move-out or deep clean together: one appointment, one invoice.
How junk removal pricing works
Our truck is divided into fractions, and you pay for the space your items take, not by the hour. A single armchair is a minimum load; a sofa or mattress is about a quarter truck; a one-car garage is often three-quarters to a full truck.
| Load | What usually fits | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum load | 1–3 small items | $75–$150 |
| ¼ truck | A sofa, mattress or a few appliances | $150–$250 |
| ½ truck | A small room cleanout | $250–$375 |
| ¾ truck | Garage or storage unit contents | $350–$475 |
| Full truck | Full room, estate cleanout, major debris | $450–$600 |
Free city pickup vs hiring us: when each makes sense
City of Sacramento residential customers get two free household junk pickup appointments per year, available February through October (appointments stop in mid-October for leaf season). Appliances and e-waste are booked separately, also free, twice a year, year-round. Book through 311 or Sac311.org; piles can be no larger than 4 × 4 × 9 feet and go out no earlier than 24 hours before the appointment.
In unincorporated areas such as Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Orangevale, Antelope and North Highlands: Households in unincorporated Sacramento County get one curbside bulky waste pickup per 12 months, up to 5 cubic yards (8 × 4 × 4 feet), by appointment. Extra pickups and larger piles cost extra. Schedule by calling (916) 875-5555 (weekdays 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.) or emailing utilities@SacCounty.net, and set items out no more than 24 hours ahead.
The free programs are a good deal if you can carry everything to the curb, wait for an appointment and stay under the size limit. Hire us when you need it gone today, when items are inside the house or upstairs, when the load is bigger than the curbside limit, or when you’ve used up your free pickups.

Where your junk goes
We sort every load. Usable furniture and household goods are donated where possible, metals and appliances go to recyclers, mattresses go through California’s mattress recycling program, and only what’s left goes to a licensed transfer station.
Paint, chemicals, motor oil, fuel, batteries and fluorescent bulbs are household hazardous waste. We can’t haul them, but Sacramento County’s North Area Recovery Station (4450 Roseville Road) runs a free household hazardous waste drop-off. Check the county’s current hours before you go.
Clean-out plus clean, in one visit
We’re the Sacramento junk removal company that also cleans. Landlords, realtors and families clearing a home can book the haul-out and a move-out clean together, from $400 for the clean, with one crew and one invoice.
Estimate it yourself
How much truck space will my junk take?
You don’t need to measure anything (a photo is enough for a price range) but these rough guides help you know what to expect:
| What you’re getting rid of | Usual load | Usual price |
|---|---|---|
| One armchair, a TV, or a few bags | Minimum load | $75–$150 |
| A sofa, or a mattress and box spring | ¼ truck | $150–$250 |
| A bedroom set, or a sofa plus an appliance | ½ truck | $250–$375 |
| A one-car garage or a 10×10 storage unit | ¾ truck | $350–$475 |
| A packed two-car garage, or a small apartment | Full truck | $450–$600 |
Heavy material changes things. A truck full of concrete, dirt, roofing or tile is far heavier than a truck full of furniture, so dense debris is quoted by the load it actually is rather than by space alone. We tell you this before we start, never after.
What to expect
How a junk pickup works, start to finish
- 1You text a photo or book a time. We reply with a price range based on how much truck space the load looks like it needs.
- 2We call or text when the crew is on the way, inside the arrival window you picked.
- 3The crew looks at everything in person and gives a firm price before anything is lifted. If it’s less than the range, you pay less; if you decide not to go ahead, there’s no charge.
- 4We carry everything out (from bedrooms, upstairs, the garage, the backyard or a storage unit) and protect doorways and floors along the way.
- 5We sweep or rake the spot where the items were, then sort the load: donation, recycling, and only what’s left goes to a licensed transfer station.
Most single-item and small-load pickups take under an hour on site. A full garage or a whole-home cleanout usually takes a few hours to a full day, depending on how much sorting you want done on the spot.
